Even though my 3 day trip to Berlin was quite busy, I still got the chance to enjoy some yummy foods in the metropole of Germany. Berlin is a dream when it comes to food. There are plenty of options for every taste and preference. Here are the 3 places I have eaten during my short trip to Berlin!
My mother and I have arrived in Berlin on Sunday afternoon. After strolling through the city we decided to have an early dinner and early sleep so we will be full of energy for the following day. I haven’t searched for a particular restaurant, instead, we just walked around and decided to eat where it looks the best.
There was a Vietnamese restaurant we passed by and the food the people were eating looked just stunning so we sat down and looked at the menu. There were few vegan options which sounded amazing so we ordered and let me tell you, it was a good decision to eat there! I choosed a seitan dish with vegetables and rice and it was so, so super yummie! The saitan was amazingly marinated, the vegetables were super fresh and the rice tasty af.
My mom ordered Pho which looked amazing as well. Since I don’t eat meat I haven’t tried her dish but she was very happy with her choice.
I definitely recommend this place!
The reason for the visit in Berlin was to discover the new fragrance by Britney Spears and to see her show. Therefore, I got the chance to have dinner with two sweet girls which were introducing me and lovely @michelelivia to the new fragrances.
We had had an early dinner at the Upside Down restaurant. The interior and the artworks on the walls were very beautiful and I loved the fact that the bar was situated in a closed patio which looked insanely pretty. There were not many vegan options on the menu but everything sounded delicious. I have had pasta with a coconut cream, spinach, and chili slices. Unfortunately it was too hot and a little too early for me (we had to drive to the concert location so we had a early dinner) to eat the whole plate but it was quite good.
On our last day in Berlin, I wanted to do some sightseeing with my mom since it was her first time in this city. It was crazy hot on this day but we still managed to see the most important tourist places. Because we haven’t eaten properly all day due the heat we were very hungry at dinner time. Our last spot of our sightseeing tour was Hackescher Höfe and we decided to eat at Oxymoron which was located there.
I loved the calm ambiance there and the fact that the food was organic. I ordered ravioli filled with avocado (so good) and my mom went for a soup again which looked amazing as well. oh yes, and try the bread! It was devine. Definitely try the rhubarb ice tea as well there! It was so tasty that I had to have two of them! The restaurant has to patios and they are both beautiful. Choose the smaller one if you want a calmer environment.
